Meet Attorney Evan Watson
Since 2008, Evan Watson has been a defense attorney, devoting 100% of his practice to DUI and criminal defense work. While practicing defense work at a prestigious Atlanta law firm, Mr. Watson defended close to 300 cases, ranging from speeding citations to felony homicide charges, and everything in between. The depth of his practice has helped Mr. Watson build a thorough understanding of North Georgia and Metro Atlanta courts, allowing him to consistently achieve the best results for his clients. While the stakes in a case may vary greatly, one thing remains constant; Evan devotes 100% of his attention to each and every case on his calendar.
After graduating from Riverwood high school, in Atlanta’s Sandy Springs area, Evan went on to gain a bachelor of science in Business Administration from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. At The Citadel, Evan excelled in academics and military leadership, earning both Dean’s List and Commandant’s List Honors. While at The Citadel, Evan was a member of the South Carolina Army National Guard, attending basic and infantry MOS training at Fort Benning, Georgia.
In 2005, Evan entered the Charleston School of Law where he went on to earn his J.D. in their second graduating class (2008). During law school, Evan was a Dean’s List & CALI (American Jurisprudence) award recipient. While in Charleston, Evan helped to spearhead the “My Study Place” initiative, a program that placed personal desks in the homes of over 50 local elementary school students.
As a member of the Georgia Criminal Defense Bar, Evan is constantly attending training to stay current on the latest defense strategies. Evan is a member of the National College of DUI Defense (NCDD) and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (GACDL). In 2010, Evan graduated GACDL’s Bill Daniels Trial Advocacy Program, an intense hands-on program designed to give trial attorneys the real world instruction and experience they need to master must-have court room skills. Evan attends the NCDD’s required biennial training to stay current on the latest scientific advances in the field of DUI defense, as this is a must have for a DUI trial practitioner.
